Praying for more Finn. We all love him. : )
LOL-- absolutely! I needed sort of an angst break this year, and I think my readers did too! And it didn't help that I finished Quickening, which was over 205K, so quick and happy-- I'm SO happy to be writing it!
LOL-- yes. It's why a lot of my books have been broken into two parts during re-release. Industry standard is 140K max. The Bitter Moon Saga books were over 220K per book-- so a two book saga became a four book saga. I have to admit, there are times when my roots in epic fantasy really can be a drawback!
Yeah, TJ Klune's "The Lightning-Struck Heart" came in at ~465 pages, which I thought was long, but ended up wanting MORE! hehe
Yeah-- Beneath the Stain was--with the DVD extras-- close to 190K. Took forever-- but it was SO worth it creativity wise. I got to do some really awesome things with that book. But not every story gets that coverage. Some of them are simpler, kinder stories, right?
That one I haven't read yet. People keep writing more good books than I have time to read and review. Fuckers. ;- ) heh
But I did just post my review for my ARC of "Bitter Candy." : )
Cool, I review for Sandra at MyFictionNook.com, so it'll be up there in a few days, too. Sleep (angstlessly) tight. hehe
