Amber Shannon After reading your ending excerpt to Dollface, then learning that many of the North Side Gang member characters were based on real people, I totally researched their backgrounds, and it was awesome learning more, and even seeing photos of them. I love period novels, and I am so excited that you enjoy choosing Chicago for the setting of your novels. I live an hour west of Chicago, in St. Charles (you may have heard of Al Capone's Hideaway--- it was a popular restaurant for a long time, gone now--- that's where St. Charles is), so I love pieces of history that are "close to home." I want Dollface made into a movie, that would be amazing!! ....I'm 100% going to read What The Lady Wants... I love the stories of retailer giants because I know Chicago was a major city for the birth of the big ones like Sears, etc... definitely excited to read your portrayal of the Chicago Fire and about the World's Fair!...

With regards to White Collar Girl, I will certainly read that one, too! I entered the Goodreads giveaway, but will read your newest work regardless.

I'm so happy I came across Dollface and have a new author to be excited about! Thank you for getting back to me, so grateful to hear from you, and thank you for the well-wishes, same to you!!

Renée Rosen Hi Again--I do know where St. Charles is! And yes, this whole area has so much rich history. I'm working on my next book now which is all about the Chicago Blues and Chess Records (started by two polish immigrants) who brought us Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Etta James, Chuck Berry and others. It's been fascinating research! As for Dollface, I would love to see that go to film too. We'll see what happens :).
Thanks for chiming in here--always great to connect with new readers! Have a great day!

Amber Shannon The piece you are currently working on sounds amazing and I look forward to reading that too; especially since I love music!!...

On Saturday, I started reading What The Lady Wants... savoring the story and reading it slowly, just like with Dollface. Already enjoying getting to know Delia. She accepted the date to go out with Arthur, I was greedy and turned to the next chapter, to discover it begins with 5 years later and the two are married... so excited to pick it up and find out about their courting story and marriage!! So different from Vera, in terms of dating and marrying one suitor.

Have a good one! :o)

Renée Rosen Oh, I'm so glad you're enjoying WTLW! I miss Marshall Field's SO much! And as for the blues book--I'm having a blast doing the research. In fact, I'm getting read to take a road trip from New Orleans to Memphis so I can really get the feel of the deep blues. I'll be posting about it on FB and Twitter! Thanks again for your support! :)
