Pitty Em. Try Finnegans Wake and you will know Ireland and especially Dublin differently. I love it.
You are so right. If you look at my review of this one you'll see that I despise the book and bluntly feel it's rubbish.
It's not nonsense by a long shot. But Joyce wrote it for his own satisfaction, not for an audience.
