I thought these novellas were self published. Would that even be relevant if CH is publishing them independently?
Well that's the answer she gave on Facebook concerning readers complaints about the length of the novellas, as she was pretty upset that some readers were labelling her as being money hungry. When she just wanted to give it to them sooner instead of waiting to end contract.
I'm glad I read this. That explains everything. Otherwise I see no reason they'd drag this series

Especially when she's done alot of her publishing at her own merit.
Omg, thank you for explaining this!!! Suddenly I'm not at all bothered by this. Well, obviously as a reader it's torture, but otherwise it's really understandable. :)
