M.Y. Khan Thank you for your answer Steven. I have to ask by the way, are you now a full time author or do you work on the side as well, like in the corporate world?

Steven Campbell Full time writer. Though I've also been lucky we have been in a bull market.

M.Y. Khan That is very comforting to hear. Do not stop with your books, they are fascinating and a welcome distraction from the worries of life :)
And sorry Steven if I am asking too many questions, but I also wanted to know whether you are self publishing or no. I think the answer is clear, but I just want to confirm, since as you said, you send your manuscript off to be proofread which is not typical of a traditionally published author. And is Liam Owen (I hope I am saying his name right, the guy that narrates the book) a friend or did you get in contact with him for the books? How did you choose him to be the sound of hank?

Steven Campbell It's self-published. You can tell by looking at the book on Amazon and it lists the publisher information below. Pretty much no one was interested in it. I mentioned it was sci-fi comedy, not to mention all the other genres that get blended in, and they tuned out. I heard over and over that sci-fi fans don't like humor. Liam is from www.scifi-publishing.com They contacted me on the first book about doing co-productions on the audio.

M.Y. Khan They were wrong... Comedy sci-fi is epic... What got me hooked on the genre was hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy.. One of the best series of all time. I am sure you must be familiar with it.
And yes that is what I thought... I don't own the books yet, only the audiobooks, but I plan to get the books when they are available where I live.. Hardback, I don't like soft back much... A personal taste :p
Sir, thank you for all your information. I hope to meet up with you one day as a fellow author. I'm still hashing away at my own creations which are a bit of a hodgepodge yet. Keep living the dream, and all the best for the future :)

Steven Campbell It won't be available in hardcover. The books, which go through createspace on Amazon, don't easily allow it and it's just not worth it to make hardcover available. I sell very few paperbacks.

M.Y. Khan Oh... Steven, do you advertise yourself or do you have an agency marketing for you? I was wondering if there was something I might be able to do to help get your name more in the limelight, for your books to get the recognition that they deserve in my view?

Steven Campbell I have an ad on Goodreads still running. I've tried various Facebook and Google ads, but the margins are so low and the bid for clicks is so high that I don't find them very valuable (like if it takes > a few clicks to make a sale, I've actually lost money). I have to rely on word of mouth. So blog, tell friends, review. Best thing I can do is keep writing.

M.Y. Khan I will do what I can. And Thanks for all your help Steven. You have been a great source of encouragement and I pray for your success.
