I read a question thread wondering about introducing a long lived Pen to the timeline and characters in Caz, Ista and the gang's time. If you wanted to do that, perhaps he could mentor the be-demoned De Garra (sp?) brother? If I recall, he was kind of left hanging at the end of Paladin.

Could she work this on Nikys too? The children?

@ Talli -- Des could keep Nikys and the kids in good health, and will insofar she has the chance, but she can't do what she's doing for Pen.

So yes, over enough time, that would play out as you think.
