Jean Your comment about Julian and Henry's 'do what is necessary' conversation got me thinking. I looked back through the book and it looks like it happened before the first murder.

Molly O'Neill I think Julian was telling Henry to do what was necessary for the bacchanal to work, like experimenting with dangerous drugs

Katie Tuohy The man in the forest wasn’t beaten. That was a lie to make it seem like an “accident” to Richard. I believe Francis lets it slip by mistake that he was actually disemboweled.
