I love your books, but I too felt it was kind of stupid that Ell would not connect Aii squared to her daughters, especially after she mentions that she gave them the "aii" as a connection to "Donsaii". I mean, it's just their names minus the first letter, even with a 2 to indicate a multiple... Quite often writing characters that are supposed to be ultra intelligent has the issue that mysteries that stump them are quite obvious to readers. I love your books mainly because they do not suffer from this as badly as some other authors I won't name, but this was painfully obvious and I kept expecting Ell to secretly know about it all along.
