Htet Htet I've re-read all your books and when I get to this epilogue (and also the one in Shards of Honor), I was crying my eyes out with profound sorrow BUT also a sense of completion in a well-lived life. The line "He has carried me all my life" remained with me and even now makes me cry (in a good way).

Ursula The epilogue for Cryoburn was perfect. It satisfied the immediate questions, that would have been frustrating otherwise. And I also would possibly have missed the implications of the "Count" part of the last line, let alone someone reading the book as a stand alone. So it helped make the events much more clear.

Laure Reminick "sluicing through at white heat from wherever such things come from" So beautifully put. Thank you

Jenn I got all weepy at the image of Gregor carrying the man who carried him. Sigh.

Diana "Count Vorkosigan sir" - the three saddest words in the universe right then.

Cs I know this is an old discussion - but just wanted to say I'm so grateful you did wrote that epilogue. It gave me as reader a chance to grieve with the characters. The line "he has carried me all his life.." is one that always makes me tear up, as well.
