Kim Lauren, thank you so much for taking the time to respond to me in length & so thoroughly. I am currently waiting to see if I've been chosen in The University of Arizona's Study of Memory Loss & Bipolar. If selected, it is a seven month long study in which I'll go twice a week for two hour sessions. Everyone learns a method to help them remember things called Cognitive Remediation. Also, some people will receive a drug that has been proven to help in learning new things. The drug is the same thing that is used to treat Tuberculosis patients. I will be assigned a specific therapist I work with for the seven months. Also, they recommended the website, Luminosity. Again, thank you for your helpful information. -kim

Kris this is spot on what i have though has been happening to me with reading. I think I'll read your comment to my health providers next time I go to help emphasis that they are not listening to me.

Claire I have since learned that a neuropsychologist performs the appropriate testing.

Also, I regret accepting the answer of “oh it’s this” instead of reminding them that the cause only matters for treatment choice. Treatment is based on dysfunction, and I am telling you I am struggling with a symptom; that is reason enough to help me. Don’t make my mistake.
