LIKE TO KNOW A REASON
The main reason was it didn't meet my expectations. I didn't feel a connection to the characters at all. I had just read Anne Tyler's new "A Spool of Blue Thread," which was a hard act for any author to follow. I adored the book! I suppose personal taste factors strongly into why I do or do not enjoy a book. I want to love every book I pick up, so when I don't like a book others enjoy, I wonder what I'm missing that they see.
