I think only by Edgar which was why he was relieved that the photos were not recovered but was willing to recover the body for the wife’s sake. I’m glad people have been asking this question as it’s been bothering me as well. I’m guess it was an accident but at the same time how could he have orchestrated the kidnapping so quickly? Unless he was connected to the gang? Maybe book 2??
