I though technical writer from the way you describe Cinder. You would say detail but never a, "#6 pan-head .2" phillips screw" but that's boring. You would get into the nuts and bolts which is usually a flag for writer who has done technical writing.
I can see how you would be a proofreader because you remind me of Brandon Sanderson in the way that you make sure everything works out so perfectly. You and Sanderson are the LOMLs though so comparison is something I don't take lightly though. :)))
