Well, if you're BORED, I could use an review of Junkyard Boys :)
Coming of age in the system. "Junkyard Boys is a gritty and glaring story told in the bildungsroman style of Jim Carroll’s, THE BASKETBALL DIARIES, Peter Hedge's, WHAT'S EATING GILBERT GRAPE and S.E. Hinton’s, THE OUTSIDERS." Two boys are taken from their dysfunctional homes and put in the social services system and they have to adapt and maneuver through it. "Institutionalized" can happen to good kids, not just the bad boys. As a reader, there's some genres that don't hold my interest so when I pick books with the intention of reviewing, I wanna do right by the author. So it was only a suggestion. Just, you know, if you're bored :) I'm female though, so writing from a pubescent boys' perspective was tricky, not gonna lie.
But I love the humor and satire, so I really am anxious to read yours.
