Amy Totally agree that it's fascinating to see the parallels. I'm not sure foreshadowing is exactly something I associate with Dickens - tons of good lit does that anyway. But I love the small in-jokes, like how the geodesic ("geographic" lol) dome that Aunt June lives in is described as looking like an upside down boat, and the hospital orderly eats all of Demon's food (when he's there after his mom's OD) - just like the waiter on David's trip to Salem, first time away from home. Little easter eggs, like in video games or movies.
