Judith Me too! I really got frustrated with this chapter. It felt familiar (pregnancy, amputation, making games) but obscure at the same time. I never figured it out.

Melissa Honestly, the more I think about it the more it makes sense for the author to bring them back together in this unconventional way. Maybe those characters did not have the mental fortitude to have an in-depth makeup conversation considering all that happened to and with them. The conversation would have felt forced and potentially awkward. What better way to have them met again than "not"? Not sure on the first read it was successful for the audience but thinking about it over time makes it feel a bit different maybe successful for those characters.
