So poorly handled, felt it trivialized both the pandemic & the legitimate ending.
Completely agree.
Authors can write 9/10th of a book and have so much trouble nailing the ending.
I've found it more and more.....
YES I've noticed that too, & so disappointing when a great falls apart at the end. But this book had the ending nailed...it's in there, but after wading thru the pandemic crap to sort it out , it's tainted.
