Great observation. I missed this. I'm sure there are so many other details like this that I missed. One of the skills of the author.
Yes, so many things mentioned throughout the story are connected to something later in the book. I also didn't catch this one.
I also missed it! where would that be in the book? I would like to go and read. Maybe someone with a e-book can find it? Thank you!
It is in the last chapter for Woolly. And i agree with Mark, he just wanted to delay Duchess and considering he had just pointed a rifle at them, it would seem appropriate to take precautions.
Woolly opens his window to let the nightly breeze off the lake in before he lays down for his “nap “
