Beth Farley Yes, so many things mentioned throughout the story are connected to something later in the book. I also didn't catch this one.

Rupali It is in the last chapter for Woolly. And i agree with Mark, he just wanted to delay Duchess and considering he had just pointed a rifle at them, it would seem appropriate to take precautions.
