I had this thought too, about the parallel between the flipping of the coin and how she chose Peter but then went to Jonas across the pond
HMMM - I like that - she says "holding it in the palm of my hand, considering it, feeling the weight of it" But then she says the eternal shape, the goldness

I think she chose Jonas, but was hoping her husband would make the effort for her. He clearly didn't. Therefore, while I think she was leaning towards staying with her husband, she ultimately followed her heart and went with jonas
