What I'd like to see next is the novel you're excited to write next. If you can put off the Gods of Publishing, don't be locked into UniCorp (unless that's the book you want to write next).
Oh, I'm not. I just finished a pirate fantasy that I'm extremely proud of, and I'm also mulling another faerie tale retelling, because I'd like a Shiny New Idea to start the New Year with. But on the back burner is this UniCorp novel which I don't plan to abandon until I get through all the stories that world has to tell me about. There won't be that many -- it's not like it's anything as epic as Pern or Dune.
