Agree
I was so bored at the beginning, middle and end. And agree, the I-just-graduated-from-creative-writing-school flowery prose left me skipping large paragraphs of pointless waffle.
I can’t think of any reason for Reese Witherspoon’s Book Club to choose this book as their monthly pick other than that the author used to be an HBO executive and Reese was in Big Littles Lies on HBO, so maybe she knows her from that and did her a huge favor.
I think Miranda's ending was for a sequel no doubt.. but I won't be reading it. Beth your review is spot on
The #1 takeaway I had from this book was that there was SO MUCH superfluous description... I swear, I learned more about flowers and plants than anything else. I found the read to be laborious.
