Jamie Waugh Yea, why was there a knife in the first place?

Jessica Cultrara Yes! I was thinking the same thing. She hurt him with the knife that first night when Crew was in the bedroom with her.

Mariana Fernandes I just finished the book and I can't wrap my head around the ending. can't really pick a team right now. I'd really like to share some ideas. why do you think the knife is an indicator that the manuscript is real? as far as we know, Verity could be keeping it in case she ever needed to defend herself from Jeremy? not sure if this thought makes sense, let me know your thoughts!

Meghan Jenkins I just finished the book and I put things together assuming IF the letter was true, that Verity was keeping the knife with her for self-defense against Jeremy if needed. And Crew possibly cut himself on accident with the knife just like he cut his mouth with the peanut butter knife. I think that peanut butter knife incident was put in the story intentionally to help the readers see that maybe the knife incident with Verity was an accident by Crew.

I say all of this… but I’m still team manuscript haha

Kathy Chang I thought the peanut butter is not an accident but crew is a mamas boy and manipulated by verity to shut his mouth if he said something he’s not supposed to? That’s why Lowen was so freaked out by the incidence
