maybe he said he loved her before he committed suicide bc he knew that if Vanessa told her story with him, everybody would really believe he was a pedophile bc no one knew for sure if they were together when she was 15 so… for that reason taylor needed Vanessa’s version so bad. i think he just tried to manipulate her to keep her quiet but he never loved her
