Joyce is a wonderful character and I could see Penelope Wilton playing her role. I agree that the book loses its way towards the end
He's very readable, it's such a natural series. And a natural for TV. We can use a show w/lively older people.
This is what I love about this site -- being able to share POV's w/other readers. Reviews are fine but more & more I want to hear what a real person thinks.
I understand that Steven Spielberg has bought the rights and that Helen Mirren (Elizabeth), Ben Kingsley (Ibrahim) and Pierce Brosnan (Ron Ritchie) are slated to star...whenever it happens. Who do you think should play Joyce?
