I thought just the opposite! In my thinking, the ending showed that the humans were placing more attention on interpersonal relationships and interaction rather than socializing with an AF. So, like a lot of technology that is replaced by us, phones, computers, etc, Klara was sent to a museum of such where she could live with her memories and have a nice slow fade rather than being taken apart. I agree with your view of our society. It is such a shame what happens to elderly. I respect other cultures who value their elders and honor them.
