I came here specifically to make the comparison to "How I Met Your Mother"! I was one of the few people who didn't have a problem with how that show ended and likewise I think it would be a fitting conclusion for these characters to have a relationship when they are older and wiser.
yes it seems similar to the how i met your mother finale! glad to see other people making the comparison.
I agree, I love the idea of them forming a deep bond of friendship again after all these years, better than rekindling an old romance.
I thought the ending of how I met your mother was beautiful, I didn’t have a problem with that depiction of a love that never dies. Mature love born from friendship that withstood everything and when the paths cleared they finally explored that connection.
