Don Dealga White people are dominant in terms of global power and resources, but are a demographic minority in the world. Part of the reaction on the part of many white people to books like this is perhaps down to their (often unconscious/unarticulated) sense of their dominance slipping away as countries in East Asia grow in economic and cultural power, and POC more confidently challenge and question racial injustice

Kumari de Silva I must make it clear that I am speaking specifically about the United States of America when I say Blacks are minority group, and in addition I will add historically many were brought here against their will. It is this disturbing history of slavery that drives the general dominance of the majority group. Slavery was almost immediately replaced by Jim Crow. Jim Crow was replaced with more subtle dog whistles. So while whites may be a global minority (I'm not even sure about this - but I will take you at your word) this isn't really what I am talking about when I made my comments about the title of the book. The title of the book is not meant to be "rude" or hurtful. It is born out of exasperation. That anyone would even take offense at the title proves the point to the title: as in, why would anyone quit talking to white people about race? Because they can't hear the conversation without getting offended, defensive and angry. Frankly, it IS frustrating.

Kumari de Silva I also wanted to add - but I can't seem to edit my previous comment - that even after some of Jim Crow was dismantled, we still see incredible voter suppression against communities of color. When Blacks are kept from expressing their needs and concerns they fail to be represented politically and that is unfair
