Thank you for your answer! I guess I didn't pay much attention to this in book 2, it's been a while!
No worries - it was a very minor point there.
The whole issue of languages having world-specific words or turns of phrase or accent is probably something which comes up for Librarians all the time - but doesn't necessarily get into my books. It's the sort of thing that a Librarian-in-Residence would be expected to add to the Library records, for any other Librarians visiting that world.
Thanks so much for clearing this up! Looks like a job for me - I'd be much better at recording such differences than stealing books.
Oh, I'm sure you'd be avoiding pursuit with a suitcaseful of books soon enough...
