One of the most professional people I've ever met (an accountant for a large business, and then an accountant for a school system) used more swears than non-swears when she wasn't at work.
And I'm trying to figure out what you mean by explicit in the sex scenes? They're pretty tame. It's more than a "fade to black" but less than most soap operas.

I guess it is all relative, correct? I was not personally offended, but I still wouldn't recommend this book for YA
