Yeah that's how I read it too. It's the random time travel that has me super confused lol. I was wondering if there was a throw away line I missed to explain this but that doesn't appear to be the case!
I think we're supposed to take Dominic's line about how near the end of life people can be in the "in-between" and then **waves hands magically** now it makes sense the Brynn's dead body time traveled. :)
Very sloppy writing.
I should've thought of the magic hand wave!
