Boyce Thanks Jen, I agree. I thought as I was reading that the author was so brave to write about the politically charged moment in our history. I made notes, detailing how many women, especially my age were taught to "just keep moving forward. Don't make waves for men. We probably asked for it." Honestly, it's no wonder that we hear about it more today. Women have been emboldened to speak up...as they should.

Jenevieve Nelson We're entering a literary world where things are not going to be as simple as they used to be. We are complex, multi-faceted humans with many experiences and identities that all intersect, why should our characters be flat? I hope more authors continue to touch on multi-faceted ideas in their stories.

April Farley I felt this was a necessary part as well and happy the author included it. I couldn't agree more with all that you said.
