Those were two different instances though, right? The pan on fire took place before the missing purse.
I think Patrick set the fire.
It had to be Patrick because they had changed the locks. The only other person it could have been was Stephanie but for her to never ever recover any memory of doing it isn't realistic, if anything she would still be hungry when she woke up to the fire, closing and locking a door is something people do on autopilot, etc.
If you know ur husbands x stole your purse, Stephanie should have demanded he go there to get it…seriously
