Wow, you are making excuses for serial killers? You are ducked up lady.
I think it's kind of that point of no return. The males get to where they know they are going to be unable to control it. So it is a choice honor or power. Meet the sun or vampire. I would say the vampires don't care anymore, they just want power & rule everything.
