At the time, I was hoping that Flanagan (in a future sequel) would show Will’s child in the Ward, due to the same reasons that Halt could not foster Will. Then one day (when he/she was 15) Will would accept his child as an apprentice, and only reveal that he was (the apprentices’) father once he/she had graduated. But, that was not the case. :(
