Threads of Time by Christy Nicholas.I liked this book had, excitement,thrills. Sometimes in current time and a lot time in the past.
Veiled in Ancient Shadows: A Historical Time Travel AdventureI liked reading this book,for me it was enjoyable. The three-person team from the 21th century is now in 12th century Ireland. In the previous book they were in a small town, now they have to go to the countryside to some standing stones. There is some fights with bad guys, they learn to deal with loss and more.
Hunted By The Fae Duke by Kris K. Haines was just released and everyone needs to read it. It was so so good!
I had it on my TBR for 3-4 years now, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The writing style, the characters, and the plot. I recommend it!
I remember recommending this book to you last winter, and I’m really glad you enjoyed it.I think it’s unique in that it has three main characters and three different storylines that gradually converge, like a strange river. I think there's only one other book that's similar, and that's Chimeras of Estmer, which I've also mentioned before.
I don’t know why, but I like fantasy books with lots of characters and different plotlines that are intertwined. But this is rarely found in stand-alones, so books like Spinning Silver are a real rarity.
There’s also the Chosen of Changeling duology, but in that story all three storylines belong to the male protagonist, the female protagonist, and the anti-hero, so it’s not quite the same. Besides, it’s a duology, not a standalone.
I remember attempting reading Chimera's of Estmer last year, but it wasn't for me. I gave up about a third way through. There wasn't enough suspense for me and the events, thoughts, and feelings of the characters were described in too much details; I wasn't thrilled to know what would happen next. The scene where the old woman and her husband take away Tessa's youth was the first one that made me scared. But mostly the cat was very helpful, and there was no sense of real danger.Reading Spinning Silver made me immersed in the world of the book; everything felt so real!
I remember that episode. It was creepy, but it didn't take long. Have you got to the part where all the characters are gradually making their way to that northern province yet? That’s when the book really picks up pace. It's like a sled rolling down a hill, picking up speed until it comes to a stop.As for all the details, that's exactly what I like about fantasy books. Don't forget that I've read The Wheel of Time cover to cover — twice, in fact. Seriously, all those details help me to properly visualise these fictional worlds.
On the subject of Naomi Novik, she has written another excellent series of books. It’s kind of like an alternate history, but with dragons. But I must warn you that this series is very different from Spinning Silver, and even I sometimes found the third book too slow-paced. I didn't want to mislead you again.
Readers' tastes vary, and it's impossible to accurately predict what another person will like. So keep misleading me, sometimes our tastes coincide!I've read about the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik; I'm not ready for that yet. I put Uprooted on my TBR.
The only long series I enjoyed is Game of Thrones and I remember I didn't like the fifth book much; it seemed Martin got lost in his own plots and revived many previously dead characters.
And Discworld, of course. I like Discworld. But those are more like standalone novels united by one universe.

The Game of Thrones books are very well written and set in a fascinating world. But characters and plot are incredibly secondary. I read the Memory, Sorrow and Thorn books before Game of Thrones, and I was shocked by just how much George R. R. Martin had borrowed from the books of Ted Williams.
The Discworld books are really very funny and interesting, and I completely agree with you on that.
Traitor's Blade by Sebastien de Castell.I enjoyed reading this book, it was just an entertaining read cover to cover.
The character creation is great!
Blood Song by Anthony Ryan. Everything I want in a book – fast pace, craptonne of action, layered plot with an abundance of twists, rich world building, emotional depth, a whiff of romance, and a cast of complex characters including a tightly-knit band of war-bros and an extraordinary warrior-hero who sacrifices himself for his people and his country.
Knight's Shadow by Sebastien de Castell.My thoughts, as good if not better than the first. I like the growth of the characters and the intrigue, there are layers of intrigue. 5 stars
The Tapestry of Fate by Shannon Chakraborty
Tyrant's Throne by Sebastien de Castell.In my reading (which takes longer than most), I really enjoyed this book. 3 friends very good in their own respect. And the constant banter between them, it shows their friendship is close. That's just the 3 main characters. There is an underlying conspiracy, and these guys get to show how honorable they really are.
The writing alone, I thought, was so good. 5 stars
Finished Circe at the recommendation of a friend and loved it. Devoured it, really. Easy, easy read, but beautiful prose, and the author knows her mythology. Very much enjoyed, and recommend for anyone wanting a simple, quick read.
