Loved it. This book was one of a kind. Do you remember the ending? I loved the implicit reference to the title in some of that final imagery.
Completely agree!
I dislike how some critique this work as if it should only be relegated to a piece of sensational propaganda. I couldn't disagree more. Sure, there is an angle the author wanted to express to possibly influence the shape of society--think Uncle Tom's Cabin--but more than that this book is absolutely striking in so many ways it is really difficult to categorize as anything but an amazing piece of literature. So many books I think of maybe once or twice a month.; I think of this one, even briefly, at least every other day.
