Travis I am apparently going to spend the next four years starting every other sentence with either 'Are you f$%ing kidding me!?' or 'I f$%&ing told you so!!'

I'm exhausted already.

Rick I really don’t like the Brave New World we are hurtling toward.

Is everyone ready for The Secret Great Depression? The collapse of the US economy? Climate Change run amok? Race riots? It’s a gonna get really, really ugly.

My alerts have been really wonky lately.

I'm still trying to figure out how getting rid of all the trans people and defunding NPR is going to bring down the price of eggs.

I tell people, if we are very lucky, the incompetence might just protect us from the evil.

Lori S. This is not going to be a fun ride.

Travis Already tired of the wishwashy 'buyers remorse' and 'Well, if only Kamala had done this...' articles.

We picked the rapist over the brown woman and we have to live with that knowledge and I have no interest in sugarcoating that for anybody.

message 11: by Travis (new)

Travis Doesn't it seem like a tiny red flag that none of his cabinet picks can pass the FBI security check?

Yes. And not so tiny either.

Travis So, nobody in New Jersey knows how to work the phone on their camera...?

Seriously, just because some aliens invaded NJ 80 years ago, everyone loses their freaking minds

Good point. I personally think we're seeing an urban legend coming to life in real time.

We used to be better at making conspiracy theories fun.

He’s not JUST a rapist. He’s a conman. He's a convicted felon. He’s a treasonous insurrectionist. He’s a lying, scum sucking, malignant narcissist.
But you’re correct. Pointing fingers and blaming someone who tired to expose him isn’t doing a bit of good. It’s not Harris’s fault. The ones who are to blame are all the people who voted for him. They are treasonous idiots who are willing to throw away our country on the off chance of being able to pay more money to corporations that are slowly poisoning all of us for the bottom line of corporate profits.

Oh believe me, the amount of looks I've gotten because when people do the 'why did Harris lose...?' song and dance, I just tell them a bunch of people lost their minds about the idea of a brown woman being in charge and anyone telling you different is lying to you.

I've seen more and more of these jokers coming out of the woodwork now they feel safe to do so. It's scary how much they believe they're getting a good deal out of this Clstrf*

Travis For my sanity, I'm going internet free today.

Be seeing you.

Travis It's weird, I'm in my 50's and never once done something that made people think I might, kinda, sorta, be a nazi, yet it happens to musk once a week.

Oh, wait, I'm being told it was really a roman salute.
The romans, from Italy, and we know the Italians never did anything fascist...

So, I'm sure it's fine.
I'm going to bang my head against a wall, if anybody needs me.

Trying to call something we all know is wrong by another name is just gaslighting at its core.

message 25: by Travis (new)

Travis I know it's cause I'm woke and all that, but if I was at a party and kept bumping into nazis, the KKK, rapists and guys that want to explain crypto to me, I'd have at least a moment when I thought about maybe I'll just go home.

message 26: by Travis (new)

Travis So, apparently the catholic church is too woke for maga...?

Really?
Oh, I can't wait to see where this goes.

message 27: by Rick (new)

Rick Where is this going? To hell. In a handbasket.

Donny the little fascist has turned the US into a banana republic. He’s trying to beat Adolf’s record of destroying a government in two months.

Told my wife, it's very tempting.
We are definitely going to move it to the bottom of the bill pile.
I mean, who are they going to send after me?
The IRS?
They already started shutting down offices, in the middle of tax season.

Enough people say 'Nah, unless you can hand me an actual piece of paper, I'm not sending you any money' and this gets very interesting.

It’s already been on the “bottom of my bill pile” since I graduated. 😹

Rick So, it would appear I’ve now developed a gluten intolerance, maybe an actual allergy. And I’m not happy since I love noodles and bread. I’m very upset about this new development. Getting old is not fun. I hate it.

That sucks.
I have a couple friends with gluten issues and I have nothing but. sympathy, as it seems rough.

I can live with getting old, it's the world not being willing to pause for a second so I can readjust that annoys me.

message 35: by Rick (new)

Yeah, they're not big on self-diagnosed ailments. However, if you eat a piece of bread and have distress afterward? I think that might be a clue. However, science insists on testing. I hope they'll listen to you though.

message 39: by Rick (new)

Rick Right now, I’m so bound up that eating almost anything ends up hurting. I’m working on it though.

Travis We should give the Pulitzer prize to the first reporter whose question to trump is 'what the fuck are you talking about?'.

But, they have to do it at a televised event.

Rick I’d support that.

message 46: by Rick (new)

He's an awful person through and through. We know this, he just lives in denial and doesn't want other to acknowledge the reality either. :0(

message 49: by Travis (new)

Travis Charlie Kirk: a victim of the world he worked to create.

Really tired of the mental gymnastics the right is going through, playing up the 'poor guy. He was just reaching out to talk to people...!' like the internet doesn't exist.

And they'll blame it on the left, because it happened in that oasis of decadent liberalism...Utah.

message 50: by Travis (new)

Travis Did not have 'Nicki Minaj goes maga' on my bingo card.

Guess I should appreciate that not every surprise is terrible.
Some are just weird.
