Mutant Beast Hunter – now available on amazon (ebook, paperback, and kindle unlimited)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081QQG85N/

It began with what was to be the cure to all of life’s ails, a bio-engineered virus that could reprogram the DNA of any living cell. The virus cured cancer and all variety of genetic conditions, created super crops that ended famine, and caused trees to literally grow into buildings. It was the beginning of a new era where anything and everything was possible.
But then, the virus got loose. It radically and continually mutated all life on Earth. Animals and plants got stronger and smarter; some developed abilities beyond explanation. The advantages of technology faded. Humans became easy prey and retreated into a handful of walled cities.
That was a hundred years ago and not much has improved since. Humanity remains cloistered and surrounded by deadly threats. Only one thing keeps them from complete annihilation, the hunters. Only the hunters dare to venture out and gather resources the cities need to survive. Only the hunters dare to keep the mutant beasts at bay.
Follow Lucas, a young aspiring hunter from Manhattan, as he learns the tricks of the trade, faces a myriad of deadly beasts, and discovers that the greatest threat to his home isn’t from outside the walls but from within.

We will have some guest authors including some self published auithors of SciFi and Fantasy.

AEROVOYANT
Climate fiction with a YA/A feel, set on a second world. Our genetically-modified descendants trying to keep themselves from making the mistakes we made here on Earth. :)

I'm still getting my legs solid underneath me, this being my debut, but here's the Amazon link:

And the blurb:
On planet Turaset, droughts ravage farmlands, cyclones rip through coastal cities, and with every barrel of oil the combustion industry pumps from the ground, the climate worsens. Alphonse has just refused a council seat because taking it means serving that rapacious industry. He leaves the city to seek solace in the wilderness, and there, a power to live the past awakens within him. Alphonse walks the steps of his distant ancestors on long-dead Earth, soon growing plagued with memories of its collapse, and he’s left with a troubling certainty: He must infiltrate the combustion industry to secure proof of its treachery, or Turaset will be next to fall.
Alphonse finds an ally in Myrta, a farmgirl who sees air, every molecule in every pulse of breath or blast of exhaust. With her talent, she can evade the patrols on the industry’s grounds. Together, Alphonse and Myrta can prove the industry lies about emissions. They can convince the councils to shut down fossil fuel use permanently.
But people in the industry have grown wise to Myrta’s power—and now she’s marked for death.
Much love to anyone who has a look-see. Also, it looks like my user name changed to P.L. to match my novel, but I've been Patty and Patricia here previously. Call me whatever you like.

Title: A Star to Dyllis

One-sentence summary: A seemingly perfect high schooler’s life gets turned upside down when a self-proclaimed, dimension-sliding ‘Observer’ tells her that she’s involved in a reality-bending anomaly that could tear the universe apart.
Synposis:
"A seemingly perfect high school student, and her persistent stalker. A former delinquent. A wallflower. A policeman with an odd sense of justice. A sullen teacher. And then in comes a self-proclaimed dimension-sliding Observer. The Observer's task? To fix an anomaly that is causing tears in the fabric of reality. What exactly is happening in this small, perfect town?
-
A Star to Dyllis features an "Observer" tasked with fixing an anomaly in our world. An Observer is a being that records all ongoing events in all the universes from a distance for a universal archive. The anomaly this Observer is trying to fix will tear the fabric of the universes apart if left alone. The anomaly seems to surround a young girl named Dyllis Diarmaid who seems to be the very definition of perfect. She even lives in a town called Perfect. She's admired by her peers and praised by her teachers. There's a deeper truth to her than meets the eyes, however. A truth that Dyllis herself doesn't seem to be willing to explore. The story is told through the viewpoint of multiple characters including the Observer, a naïve policeman, and a former delinquent. Each character has their own opinions regarding Dyllis and their own situations. They all work together to solve the anomaly in an out-of-body adventure that makes them question their own identities."
It explores themes of self-acceptance and identity through a science-fiction lens.

Flames Over Frosthelm is the story of two new Provisional Inspectors in a medieval city. Fresh out of training, they investigate crimes throughout the city. As the story opens, their case goes awry as the thief they are tailing ends up in a dispute with a sorceress. The thief dies in a violent explosion, and as Marten and Boog investigate further, they learn that the theft was no simple matter. As they continue their work, they encounter a vicious noble, a deadly conspiracy, and hints of dark secrets buried for a century or more.
This is a funny book, but it's more focused on the story than on the humor. Something like Princess Bride meets CSI, a tale of classic adventure with a healthy dose of comedy. It's a full stand-alone novel clocking in at just over 120,000 words. Beginning, middle, and end, and no waiting for sequels to find out how the tale ends (hear that, George R.R.?). There is swordplay, violence, death, and some romance, but the book does not include anything terribly hardcore. Think PG13 or Harry Potter and you're probably in the right place.

I've spent the last decade working on the second-edition to The Great Ship of Knowledge, volume-one, Learning Earth's Deathly History.
(FYI, since my book is part of a series, Goodreads lumps all reviews together, so reviews from the first-edition [writen a decade ago] show up on this book that is "brand new" and has yet to be reviewed.)
Learning Earth's Deathly History is a virtual reality, postapocalyptic, sci-fi adventure unlike anything you've ever read or watched!
Here in Part-One: "The Journey Ends," the reality of our world is explained, and the stage is set for Learning Earth's Deathly History. Part One is a short read about 110 pages whereas Part Two "Learning Earth's Deathly History" is about 300 pages.
In Part Two, coming next month, you will follow the lives of members of SEAL Team 14 "Fury and Company," both on and off the battlefield. You will also meet the captain and crew of the USS Texas, a Virgina class fast attack nuclear submarine. They all play their parts in Learning Earth's Deathly History.
Soon after SEAL Team 14 pulls off Operation Sea Otter in the Port of Chabahar Iran, World War III erupts following a nuclear terrorist attack on America by an evil alliance of her global enemies. A nuclear winter quickly falls upon Earth. Once the world begins to thaw from the cataclysmic chill, survivors of the apocalypse leave their shelters and see the aftermath of the last war of humanity. What they witness is beyond horrific.
Then, when any hope is lost for mankind and all life on Earth is headed for certain extinction, is when the virtual planetary history lesson ends and Part Three "The Awakenings Begin" starts. Part Three is the completion of this volume, and it will be released next spring.

Ariana Heppelwhite was a promising Gender Studies grad student at Lacy Swanson College for Women in Bayport, Massachusetts. She had actually written a paper describing three hitherto unknown forms of nanoaggression! She was on track for getting a professorship and an actual job with a real salary and all the perks, maybe even tenure eventually.
Ariana had even met an unexpectedly charming incel (a phrase she had never expected to think, much less say) while doing research on incels for a grant she had. Sure, she'd done some nasty academic infighting that had an athletic department coach looking for her scalp over a transmale gaze incident, but overall, things were coming up roses for Ariana.
Then it happened. Ariana got caught in a freak physics accident while running from the gym coach, and was transported to an alternate world. And it was the exact WRONG world for a Gender Studies feminist to be transported to. It was full of women who walked around naked in public and wore collars engraved with “Property of (their significant other)” and who LOVED their collars -- and who seemed to think Ariana was a barbarian from a violent place.
And the thing was, they were all nice people, and calm people, and they just might be right about Ariana. Even more of a thing was that some not-so-nice Collar Land people thought Ariana's world represented such a threat that they should kill her for security reasons!
Will Ariana ever make it back to good old Earth from Collar Land? Will she learn to adjust to these very strange people or will she subvert their entire society? Will the not-nice people kill her? And what about that unexpectedly charming incel?
All these questions and more will be answered -- all you have to do is read this topnotch science fiction comedy!

incidentally, I think perhaps you would benefit from reading our policy and getting to know us a bit to better hone your pitch.

Hi! I'd like to present my first novel, the first in a series, set in modern day Central Texas. It is on KDP Select and you can check out the first five chapters as a sample on Amazon! Here is the description:
During a family trip on a bright spring day, the world went insane.
In an instant, one-third of the human population goes mad. A psychotic rage drives average, everyday people to attack anyone near them. No one is spared from the violence, not even loved ones. Brutality overcomes the world that is matched only by invaders from under the Earth.
Ethan Swain is a teenage Boy Scout trying to survive in a world filled with hardships and dangers, some of which may not be human. Alone, he sets out on a journey across Central Texas to reunite with his mother, the only family he has left. Along the way, he discovers that madness isn’t the only change affecting the world.
Follow his saga of survival as he travels through a world that has collapsed in an instant and struggles to survive with strangers who are not always what they seem.
(This book is rated R for violence, disturbing imagery, and some adult content.)

"The Huralon Incident" is a tale of the first combat cruise of the ESS Springbok. Designed from the keel up to be a Q-Ship (a disguised armed merchant), the ship is packed with the finest technology Elysian engineers could muster.
Commanding her is Captain Evander McCray, a veteran of the war who ruffled too many Admiralty feathers during peacetime. He gets one last chance to redeem himself with Springbok, but the straightforward anti-piracy mission proves to be anything but simple.
McCray soon uncovers an audacious plot formed by an adversary nation and the corrupt politicians of his own nation. Before he is done, he'll face a firefight on the ground he has no idea how to fight and the possibility of losing the woman he loves. He'll face down the enemy's latest and greatest warship design, a vessel Springbok was never designed to fight. McCray will employ tactics he never considered possible before, just to survive.

The Very Unexpected Fourth Book In The Glothic Tales Trilogy
"Quick March, the planet Earth needs to be saved!"
Not from alien attack, nuclear destruction, or even being hit by a misguided comet. No, Earth needs to be saved from making millions of years of painful losses for Gloth, and it falls to March Gregorian, eldest son and heir to February the Twenty-Ninth, the Supreme Potentate of the Twelve Sun Systems of Gloth, to find a way to finally make Earth profitable.
The obvious starting point in such a difficult assignment is, of course, to do some quick research and then ascertain the most lucrative tradable commodity a planet has to offer. Once that is clear, simply arrange to export a whole lot more of it and the problem is solved.
As March prepares to make his first journey to Earth, he is sure he knows which Earth product will solve the problem.
Salmon.
Unfortunately for March, all does not go well on the salmon front, and he discovers all too quickly that Earth is not an easy place to manage, understand, or to squeeze a profit from.
Faced with losing face with his father by returning to Gloth empty handed, March fears that his salmon failure may lead to serious doubts about his ability to remain heir to the Supreme Potentate.
Luckily, however, his fears of losing his right to the throne evaporate in a flash when he stumbles upon a remarkable alternative solution.
Swedes.
Don't panic if you haven't heard the first three Glothic Tales, as all is explained in March, so you won't miss a trick.

Here's where you can find my book:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YTZG12C/
The Kindle edition is now ONLY 99 cents / 99 pence (and always free on Kindle Unlimited); it is also available in paperback. If you do decide to read it, I'd much appreciate it if you could leave a review.
Robin and Miranda go to bed in their separate rooms, but wake up somewhere else. Somewhere that is alien and way outside their comfort zone. However, as they discover more about their new surroundings and have several unusual and action-packed adventures, they begin to suspect that all may not be as it first seemed.
As the days progress, their passion for each other grows as their relationship develops emotionally and physically. However, is someone or something watching them? Why do they keep discovering things which don’t feel right? And what’s the story behind the various androids who they meet during their adventures?
As well as being a fast-moving action and adventure novel, this book touches on several social topics. Covert surveillance; humanity’s journey after the extinction of Earth; how A.I. might develop; and whether humans would, one day, upload their minds into robots (and, if so, what sort of society might result?)
As an ‘aside’ to the plot, there are twenty-one hidden references to well-known science fiction movies and TV shows throughout the book. Challenge yourself – can you find them all?
"In space, nobody is watching your reality. Or are they?"

Hi all, and thank you for accepting me into your group.
I would like to introduce my book for your consideration, 'The Age of Atlantia, Rise of the Speaker'. It is Sci-Fi book that tries to bridge the gap between current times and futuristic societies and looks at how the world can be changed by technology.
The story, however, looks at more than simply technology, instead trying to ask questions as to how this new and burgeoning society would not only treat sensitive issues, but how the changes themselves would take place: economics, religion, women's issues and basic human rights, law and order... if you could design a society from the ground up, what would it look like?
However, an aspiring utopia would need to deal with challenges from within and from without, combating outside nations who don't want to see Atlantia succeed and the human nature of the citizens who call Atlantia home.
This book is the first of a new series that will hopefully tackle many of the issues that a futuristic society would need to overcome. Set against the backdrop of the convoluted and duplicitous backroom dealings of international diplomacy, espionage and the worst of all crimes - open war.
I would honestly love to hear what you all think. This book is designed to start discussions and I hope the first of those will start here.
Thank you

The first book of the Holy Christian Empire series. Complete with no cliff hangers as are all books in the series.
It’s 2206 and the president of the Free States of America is scheming to declare herself a dictator after the 2208 election.
When Eric Stewart, inventor of the Stewart Faster-than-Light drive and owner of the giant Stewart Industries conglomerate, discovers her plot, he launches a desperate plan to escape to a virgin planet with as many people and as much industrial capacity as he can. But he and his fellow conspirators have a spy in their midst.
It’s a race against the president’s enforcement squad and time — and the time-bomb is ticking.

Eurik & Leraine have escaped the land of the necromancers, but still face a long journey. Eurik is looking for answers about who his parents were and how they ended up adrift at sea. Leraine must carry the news of her teacher’s death back home, yet also has a debt to Eurik for helping her to avenge Irelith.
Together, they’ll have to traverse the Neisham Hills, where lone travelers are snatched in the night and even numbers don’t guarantee safety. And beyond the hills, all along the long Inza Road, the drums of war beat louder and louder.
But the greatest threat may not be goblins, elves, or bandits. It may be the people they’ve chosen to travel with.

I don't know what I'm allowed to say here, other than I wrote a book called "The Ashorne's Ingress" about a world where an alternate human (and not-so-human) culture has evolved. It's a little bit portal fiction, a lot of close third, and more than a lot of jump on in and see if you can swim. If that appeals, have at.
I don't care much about sales or reviews but it would be nice to know some good readers have picked the thing up, if only to swat a troublesome kitchen rodent. Oh, and it's free on Kindle.
I'm assuming I'm posting this in the Member-Author thread (I followed the moderator's embedded links) but if not, I apologize.

One of them is Mitchell Lüthi, who wrote Plagueborne: Books 1 & 2. He's offering free copies of his ebook in exchange for a review. Here you can request it: Plagueborne by Mitchell Lüthi.
The other one is Justin Fillmore, author of The Jethro Parables. He's also offering free copies of his ebook in exchange for a review. You can request your free copy here: The Jethro Parables by Justin Fillmore.
Download, read, enjoy and review! :)

Novel Description:
In the dark corners of the city, conspiracy and assassination are a means to an end. Those who stand at the top pull the strings in whatever manner they desire, unopposed by their subordinates, and unchallenged by ethics. But some people are difficult to tame, as not all humans are created equal within the confines of Menilax. A rare gift has spread throughout the Broken Sector, allowing the less fortunate to control parts of existence that normal people could only dream of. But they are tired, poor and homeless, and have been abandoned by the rest of the city due to their volatility.
Grey is a man looking to strengthen his constituents and rebuild the Sector, working as much as he can before his time comes to an end. With a track record of blood and shadow, he’s hoping that with enough good deeds he can redeem himself. To what lengths he will go to remains to be seen, but is it remotely possible for good works to cancel out a history of dark deeds? Where does one draw the line, for who can be forgiven, and who must be damned for their sins?
While Grey grew up fending for himself in an uncaring, apathetic environment, Janus enrolled with STARCOV, a covert division of the military, specialising in espionage, tactics and foreign surveillance. Her world is torn asunder when her little brother is abducted, leaving her mind to unravel at a frightening pace. Not only must she deal with Oscar's disappearance, but Janus is left with years of operational conditioning, skills not applicable to life outside of the unit. Janus plans to take matters into her own hands to take back control, to see Oscar returned home in one piece. Will her trauma consume her from the inside? Or will she beat the odds and succeed despite her shortcomings?

Late Nights On Onion Station, A Parody of the EarthCent Ambassador series

If you LOVED Date Night On Union Station] (Book 1 of the EarthCent Ambassador series) you'll LOVE Late Nights On Onion Station the sexy, sexy parody of "Date Night on Union Station" written by the infamous Pat Powers, author of Crazy Aunts and Scary Uncles and Jenkie Jenkins, Interstellar Sex Reporter.
Onion Station lies in the outermost reaches of human-explored space, a gigantic artifact created by the alien Zuks, artificial intelligences that are so badly programmed that they are extreme libertarians. They run Onion Station with a fine disregard for safety, comfort and well-being of the various alien species that dwell in their station, including the humans.
But it's the beings who live in Onion Station that make it the unique, exciting and strange place that it is, and when the Earth Ambassador to Onion Station starts dating an actual human man (much to her mother's relief) everything changes on Onion Station. This simple act of dating will bring together a fascinating group of characters:
Kitty Reinhardt, the human ambassador to Onion Station, is totally dedicated to her work. She earns the 25 cents an hour that the tight-fisted Zuks pay her the hard way, i.e., attending diplomatic receptions and helping Earth firms negotiate trade deals with the many other alien races in Zuk space. She's proud of what she does for humans in her role as ambassador (but it is too bad about the starving people who die regularly in the lower corridors of the human sector of Onion Station). But it's her relationship with her more than just comfortable chair that is a source of deep shame to her, even though she's not at all guilty about her taste for kinky maledom/femsub bondage sex.
Mike Bonus, the trader with a heart of gold who buys the contracts of starving humans by the dozens on the cheap at Onion Station and sells them off to slave traders on crapsack worlds for a fat profit – and who is revered as a saint by the humans whose contracts he sells.
Kitty Reinhardt's chair, which seems sentient to Kitty, given that it converses with her and does things to her that previously were confined to safely nonsentient machines like vibrators -- but which the Zuks SWEAR is not sentient.
The Sisters of Mercy, who rescue starving humans crawling through the mean corridors of Union Station ... but whom many starvelings would describe as anything BUT merciful.
Dweezil the Dreddarian, a six-limbed otterlike alien with a sharp eye for info-trading and a very commercial approach to friendship.
The Fringe, treelike aliens who have a taste for Earth epiphytes to hang in their canopies.
And the Zuks, the artificial intelligences who run Onion Station and live in fear of the massive artificial intelligence that runs the station itself, because it's definitely one of your more godlike artificial intelligences, and it's just as benevolent as the Zuks who created it.
But most of all, you'll have fun, and lots of it, as a favorite series is parodied senseless by someone who has read and enjoyed every book in the series.
And if you have not read "Date Night on Union Station" go ahead, get over there, dig in, you'll enjoy it! The whole series is on Kindle Unlimited! It's sexless, but it's fun. And "Late Nights On Onion Station" well, it provides all the kinky sex an adult mind needs to ... adult ... and it's ALSO on Kindle Unlimited!
