The audiobook is so good, each person felt so real and unique because of the way the audiobook was done. I do read a lot of WWI and WWII books and getting to be in the trenches with citizens in their cities and rural homes is something that puts a very personal light on what war does to people. Wonderful review, Krystal!

Yes, I agree! It was an immersive reading experience for me, and I think that more than anything else is what I loved about this book. It's also proved to be what I think of when I look back on reading it. Those moments of characters sheltering while bombs were exploding gave me chills. Thanks for your wonderful comment!🩷🩷
