ya or adult?
harry potter
lord of the rings & the hobbit
throne of glass has romance but it’s YA so it’s not really centered around that
that’s all i got for now
Gregor the overlander by Suzanne Collins! Fire series with a male protaganist by an amazing author we already love!!
The magician apprentice is a classical fantasy coming of age story, or really most anything by Brandon Sanderson, especially Mistborn and The Storm light Archive although there's more violence in those than Magician.

wait that’s the perfect rec, maze runner fs
These series my brother really liked and he isn't a big reader:
• Maze Runner
• Legend
• Hunger Games
• Secondborn
• The Lightning Thief
• Divergent
I know they might lean a tad to fantasy depending on the series but for the most part it's YA.
Whoever said cruel prince is totally off the mark. For me that's 100% romantasy and in my opinion written more for young girls than young men (even though I really like the books). I wouldn't recommend for a boy not interested in romance!

That's more for younger kids, no offense.
- Maze Runner
- Percy Jackson
- Scythe
- Ender’s Game
- Renegades
Hope this helps :) I tried to think of books my brother and boyfriend have read and enjoyed

Enders Game is fantastic, and there’s a few other books in the series that he might like too (I like Ender’s Shadow best) and it was made into a movie too… he might like that

omg yeah Eragon is good too
he should really try the mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson, it's high fantasy and super interesting!! The skyward series also by Brandon Sanderson is also a super cool ya scifi!!
Percy Jackson, the rangers apprentince the ruins of gorlan, harry potter, the maze runner, the false prince, legend, (ok so legend has like two kisses idk if thats too much for ur brother but tm its alll abt the adventure, not romance.), mb holes...? I honestly cant think of any more cuz so my of the fantasy that i read is romantasy 😅

Legend is full-blown romance though, specifically LATER on in the books.
House of hollow, although it’s more of a modern fantasy horror? So it takes place in the modern day but it’s still fantasy-esque
- The Hunger Games (some romance, but it’s not a lot at all)
- The Poppy War (idk but I don’t think there’s any romance, and if there is it’s quite low-key)
- Percy Jackson
- Six of Crows (I haven’t read it, but I think that if there’s romance it’ll be very subplot)
Hope this helps!💗💐

Aww!! I Hope you enjoy it more than I did. 😊
The Belligerent Art by Bashir Ibrahim would be enjoyable and worth your time. It is political and legal thriller blended aesthetically with the element of romance. You can explore its gripping contents here:

Good luck!
The hobbit, LOTR, harry potter, or anything Brian Sanderson they're always good as they're aimed at a younger demographic ! Hope that helps
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. Its mainly fae politics and the romance is only on the side. Not the main thing
my brother read scythe and maze runner and loved both! maybe he would like six of crows bc it has a very cool plot with very minor romance?
1. Of Mice and Men (I know, I know, but it's a classic for a reason!)
2. The Golden Compass trilogy by Philip Pullman (like Harry Potter, it's wasted on children!)
3. The Murder Farm (pretty short, too)
4. A Night in the Lonesome October (I re-read it every Halloween)
5. Down with Skool! (laugh-until-you-cry good)
6. The Cavendish Home for Boys and Girls
7. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
8. A Field of Darkness (great mystery!)
9. The Magic Thief and its sequels (great fantasy quartet)
10. The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and its sequels
The Spiderwick Chronicles, Inkheart and its sequels, the Percy Jackson series. The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury. I will post more as I think of them.
