I'm joining you here... I was filling the form with my address here in France for the map after my preorder, and were kinda slapped in the face when I noticed "US only" 😭😭😭

Sandra Wallace Was keen BUT I’m in Australia. Disappointed and slightly disgusted.

message 9: by Elija (new)

Elija What a shame the giveaway is just for the US... But I'm looking forward to the Illustrated edition anyway, so thanks for that information! :) Has it been 25 years already??

As far as the terms or the promotion, I don't believe so. But Robin and I are working on something for UK readers and will hopefully be able to post something soon.

Robin Hobb Hello Sandra, Kat here.

I post promotions that the publisher send to us, and as I noted above, this is Del Rey, her US Publisher. The illustrated edition is coming out in Australia, but I have no say in what promotions are developed for it.

When Robin and I do do promotions in office, we do them worldwide, which is why we do one maybe every two years as it entails a full stop on other projects. We love doing them and have had a lot of great fun, but it's labor intensive.

If we host one I will be sure to update here.

With warm regards,

Kat (in Robin's office)

Kurt Looking forward to seeing my Illustrated edition arrive from The Signed Page and the lovely map. The book looks beautiful. You can't have too many editions of Robin's books! :)

Amy | shelf-explanatory I'm going to need a new bookshelf just for all my editions of the Farseer Trilogy.... any plans to ever do special editions of Liveship Traders or Tawny Man?

Absolutely beautiful 20th anniversary editions were published by Harper Voyager. They're well worth their price and I think you can stil find them :)

message 19: by Doris (new)

Doris Mahala I do agree with you and will let you know that I have had to return books to the library unread because I was able to get into by the second chapter and I must tell you this one little thing.
I have as yet to read any of your books under this name, however, I have read complete series and trilogies under your other names.
I love your stories!

message 22: by Don (new)

Don Anyone know the size of the map and how it will be shipped? Will it be in a flat package or tube? Thanks.

message 23: by Nathalie (new)

Nathalie I'm reading "The Farseer", I liked the "Assassin's Apprentice" and I guess I will like the Royal Assassin. I read it in French, my mothertongue. The character of Fitz is really well done, and is mind well described. Thanks to the author.

Jeannie Good Morning from South Africa! I am so excited for the release of the illustrated edition of Royal Assassin on June 16 :D But now with Covid-19, none of the South African bookstores are able to order in books from abroad. And unfortunately Amazon is also not shipping here. While I realise this is a shamefully 1st world problem, I am worried the illustrated edition will sell out before I can get a copy :( And I have been so excited about it!

Is there any chance that a number of copies will be reserved for buyers outside of the US? Or a second print run when borders have been reopened? I already have the illustrated edition of Assassin's Apprentice, and it is very lonely on my shelf.
