Del Rey Map Giveaway for PREORDERS of 25th Anniversary Illustrated Edition of Assassin's Apprentice

Hello! It's Kat here on Robin's blog as she's out picking blackberries for the end of the season. I know it may seem strange that we are dividing the work out like this, but you have not had her blackberry jam. Once you have had her blackberry jam you'd happily insist that she go pick blackberries with Ginger and Molly than sit on the internet.

My selfish interests aside. See above? Robin has a beautifully illustrated, HARDCOVER 25th Anniversary Edition of Assassin's Apprentice coming out Oct. 2, 2019. Del Rey, her US Publisher, is hosting a give away of maps of the Six Duchies, signed by Robin Hobb. For those who collect, YES, the other two books in the first trilogy will also be published in hardback, and also in collaboration with the same illustrator, Magali Villeneuve!

To enter to receive one, you must present proof of your preorder to Del Rey. (LINK NOW FIXED! Thank you readers!) http://www.randomhousebooks.com/campa...

Robin and I are not hosting this giveaway so please do read their requirements so you can receive a map with your preorder.

Thank you all for being readers of fantasy literature along with us!

With warm regards,

Kat

I'm joining you here... I was filling the form with my address here in France for the map after my preorder, and were kinda slapped in the face when I noticed "US only" 😭😭😭

Sandra Wallace Was keen BUT I’m in Australia. Disappointed and slightly disgusted.

Elija What a shame the giveaway is just for the US... But I'm looking forward to the Illustrated edition anyway, so thanks for that information! :) Has it been 25 years already??

As far as the terms or the promotion, I don't believe so. But Robin and I are working on something for UK readers and will hopefully be able to post something soon.

Robin Hobb Hello Sandra, Kat here.

I post promotions that the publisher send to us, and as I noted above, this is Del Rey, her US Publisher. The illustrated edition is coming out in Australia, but I have no say in what promotions are developed for it.

When Robin and I do do promotions in office, we do them worldwide, which is why we do one maybe every two years as it entails a full stop on other projects. We love doing them and have had a lot of great fun, but it's labor intensive.

If we host one I will be sure to update here.

With warm regards,

Kat (in Robin's office)

Amy I'm going to need a new bookshelf just for all my editions of the Farseer Trilogy.... any plans to ever do special editions of Liveship Traders or Tawny Man?

Absolutely beautiful 20th anniversary editions were published by Harper Voyager. They're well worth their price and I think you can stil find them :)

message 19: by Doris (new)

Doris Mahala I do agree with you and will let you know that I have had to return books to the library unread because I was able to get into by the second chapter and I must tell you this one little thing.
I have as yet to read any of your books under this name, however, I have read complete series and trilogies under your other names.
I love your stories!
