Dramapuppy No, there definitely was not a spaceship. Could it have been that plane someone mis-flew at the beginning of the book?

bubblegumpopper You're the one adding the "spaceship" label. As I argued below, Jonas' community has a lot of advanced technology in it when you think about it. And there ARE "search planes" in the book. Isn't it just as likely that these are just, in fact, the search planes but they're of more advanced technology than what you're internally defining as a "plane", so you're advanced them to "spaceship?"

And as others have pointed out, part of the movie IS in black and white, it's just that the first trailer didn't show it. It actually makes more sense to not make the whole movie black and white. Looks like it will be very much like Pleasantville; the colour will be highlighted to the viewer as the character begins to see it.

Dramapuppy I agree, Chelsea. And, as I said in my prior comment, the film really shouldn't be in black and white. I'm annoyed that part of it is. 1. spoilers. People aren't supposed to know. But the second trailer pretty much spoiled everything, even chap. 19. 2. There is color in the world. The people just can't see it. It should only be black and white when looking through someone's eyes.
