I liked most of the series you mentioned above and so I think you may want to give the Broken Empire a go.

It starts with Prince of Thorns. The protagonist, Jorg, is probably one of the most unforgettable characters you'll ever meet. If I had to describe him to you based on the books you mentioned above he'd probably a mixture of Kvothe and Tyrion with a hint of Jeoffrey =)

Already on it buddy haha. Read the first book awhile ago and thought it was a 3.5 but heard that the 2nd and 3rd books are better. I just bought the 2nd book yesterday.

Oh and check out all the Joe Abercrombie books if you havent.

I sort of read the first two one after the other so can't really judge the first separately.

I read Best Served Cold and I remember liking the poisoner character, Morveer i think he was called, quite a lot...
