Ha, all right, I asked that at the end of the comment! I haven't seen the movie. I assumed this board would be for the book alone.

From Chapter 30:

"The glass shatters under my hand, and water spills onto the floor..."
She even acknowledges beforehand that she will be manipulating the simulation.
From Chapter 29:
"I just have to remember that I have the power to manipulate the simulations, and that I have practiced it before."
(Are you possibly referring to the movie here? I haven't seen it.)
