Cinder is the main character of the book. It is supposed to be based off of Cinderella.

I've never read a fairytale retelling too, but I definitely loved this book. It's honestly pretty good, go for it(:
Another fairytale retelling I've read and loved is Spindle's End, by Robin McKinley. It's different from Cinder, but I loved it.
