Agreed!
This is one of those times when I have to say that to me, the movie was better than the book. I just couldn't get engaged in reading the book and I never did finish it. However, I gave it to someone else who felt just the opposite...
I read the book a few years ago and saw the movie recently on netflix. The movie was a thousand times better than the book. What I hated about the book was too much time in the "cell."

This is the most boring book on the face of the earth, too many actual good books in the world to read don't waste your time
