If you can get some perspective on what people were like back in the 20's and 30's, it will make complete sense to you how a bunch of frivolous idiots like that would fawn all over a macho buffoon like Hemingway. Today's "Millenials" may have again reached those depths of frivolity, but it remains to be seen... the key discriminator will be whether or not they drag us into another global war...
