Its good to know that someone is on my side in rejecting A guy like Mr.Darcy!
If he was cold before, what prevents him from being cold and snobby in the marriage when they argue or something? I wouldn't want to be stuck with someone like that either
Well, he was snobby and cold out of caution. It still doesn't make how he treated those around him right. But he rationalized his behavior in his own mind and didn't really have any conscience on that score. That is, until lizabeth woke him up when he proposed for the first time. And not only did he act horribly in the name of prudence, he told Elizabeth (at the end of the book) that he had been taught good values but was left to follow them in pride and conceit, and that he still might have been doing so if it hadn't been for her. (Love that line!) Sorry to ramble. That's what I think of Darcy's snobbishness. I still don't like it, but he had his own reasons.
