Lesley Arrowsmith CS Lewis never had a daughter. He had two step-sons.

And he wasn't LDS. I can't remember his denomination, but he was protestant.

Lesley Arrowsmith Church of England, I think

message 4: by John McR (new)

John McR Church of England (in the USA, Episcopalian) absolutely! He wrote a series of well-known books discussing and supporting his take on Christianity.

Elizabeth...this was the quote that led me to the question.

message 7: by Erin (new)

Erin Lewis was not a member of the LDS. He was an Anglican with strong Catholic leanings. I believe he was baptised, but because of his marriage to a divorced woman, was not considered a "Catholic in good standing" A state which he was content with. See his book A Grief Observed.

Erin baptised - I mean baptised as a Catholic

message 9: by Will (new)

Will He was not considered, and did not consider himself, a Catholic at all. Some Catholics opined he was on the verge of converting, but this appears to have been no more than wishful thinking. (He was an Ulsterman, and never fully got over his childhood anti-Catholic indoctrination.) Christopher Derrick finally asked him "Why not?", and was told after being sworn to secrecy-- which proved superfluous, as Derrick has forgotten.

Jennifer Rengger Lewis was not LDS, he was Church of England.
